Creative Arts Principal Kristen Lynch Publishes First Book

Kristen Lynch, principal of Creative Arts Secondary School, always liked to write, but never considered herself a "writer" until she received positive feedback on her Caring Bridge entries for Bill, her late husband and longtime SPPS educator and administrator at Johnson and Highland Park high schools. From there, the spark to write a book was lit. A powerful and heartfelt story of love, partnership and loss, "Mixtape" is part memoir, part medical journal, part grief and all healing. 

A portion of the proceeds from any books sold go toward supporting the William P. Lynch Memorial Fund, which was created to "assist students in their post-secondary education goals who have exemplified the perseverance, kindness, positivity and hard work for which Bill was known." The scholarships are awarded each spring to a senior at Johnson Senior High School.
