Ceramics
Ceramics is the combination of rocks, water, and personal expression. The ceramic program explores the historical and current work of ceramics through multiple cultures, developing skills and techniques, critically thinking about the function and design of pottery and or sculpture, as well as developing concepts to express our ideas.
Our studio is set up to be eco-friendly and inspiring. The classroom has hand building tables, pottery wheels, and large windows that look into a private zen garden. We have a separate room for two kilns, photo booth, clay recycling area, and glaze kitchen. There are many opportunities for ceramic students to participate in: art contests, pottery sales, gallery shows, and more.
