Welcome to Frost Lake!

  • Today’s children are being prepared for jobs and careers that don’t exist yet. We know that to collaborate effectively, they will need skills in communications, flexibility, creativity, and an ability to seek and understand new information. Every student at Frost Lake receives personalized instruction from co-teachers who work together to meet the needs of each child. Our students use iPads and other technology tools to engage and motivate their learning. We also offer science, social justice, art and physical education.

Frost Lake News

You are welcome here!

  • To our students and families who are immigrants or refugees, Saint Paul Public Schools continues to welcome you with open hearts and open minds.

Thousands of refugee students from around the world have made Minnesota home and attended school in SPPS over the years. Many of these graduates now serve as teachers, principals and other staff, and our district is stronger because of it.

Our students, parents and staff come from dozens of nations, and each day more than 100 languages and dialects are heard in the hallways and classrooms of our schools. We wouldn't have it any other way.

Last week's Board resolution declared that our primary goal and legal obligation are to educate all students, regardless of their immigration status.
Diversity is central to our strength, in our schools and throughout Saint Paul. We stand by all SPPS students and their families.

    John Thein, Superintendent

    Jon Schumacher, Board Chair
